The Ohio Higher Educational Facility Commission's mission is to provide all users, including those with disabilities, a functional, accessible, interactive Web experience. For your convenience, we have provided information on the Web accessibility standards created as part of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Wright State University also has various guidelines and resources for accessibility.
Although a variety of access technologies are available for use with the Internet, we recommend using Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 Service Pack 1 or higher to provide you with the highest level of browser accessibility. The Microsoft Active Accessibility (MSAA) software is included with a "full" install of IE 5.0 and higher.
If you are blind or visually impaired, these pages were designed to be accessible with most industry-standard screen readers. However, we recommend JAWS for Windows version 3.31 or later for the best speech synthesis.
If you wish to evaluate additional assistive technologies you should contact agencies or evaluation centers in your area to identify locally available resources.
If you are an individual with a disability and are having difficulties with materials hosted by the Ohio Higher Educational Facility Commission, please contact the Webmaster at the Ohio Board of Regents.
